Mission: To promote businesses by leveraging connections and creating collaborations within the surrounding area via marketing, outreach, branding and special events.
Besides recruiting new members to the organization, this energetic group of individuals serves as the first point of contact for prospective members, providing testimonials on the impact of being a member of the Near South Planning Board. New member orientations also take place during the meeting to acclimate them on ways of getting involved.
Mission: To create a cohesive awareness that promotes a South Loop hospitality experience.
Work with staff to ensure the success of an event that raises funds for NSPB and its literacy programs, encouraging members and friends to purchase tickets and/or tables to the gala, work with staff on the program, and act as hosts at the event.
Plan calendar and programs for membership luncheons and Annual Meeting. (Meets as necessary)
(By invitation only) – Review area developments and proposals to make recommendations to the Board of directors. Meets the First Tuesday of the Month. (Board confirmation needed to serve on this committee.)
Focus will be on enhancing our digital presence via website and social media outlets and creating plans to market the area, businesses and organization.
Responsibility each year is to nominate members to the Board and recommend officers.
